(Library & Information Science) in 2005 from Utkal University, Bhubaneshwar. He has an excellent academic record with all through first divisions. After completing B. Sc. in Agriculture Science from Gorakhpur university, he joined Bachelor degree course of Library Information science at Banaras Hindu university, Varanasi and subsequently completed his master degree in Library & Information Science with first division first and BHU Gold medal from the same university. He started his professional career from central Potato research Institute (CPRI) campus, Modipuram, Meerut (U. P. ) in 1990 and authored two research papers in professional journals of repute. Dr. Sharma has participated in several conference/seminars and has also attended good number of professional trainings/workshops etc. he is a life member of SALIS (Society for Advancement of Library and Information Science) and IPA (Indian Potato Association). Presently dr. Sharma is a Technical Officer (Librarian) and Incharge of Library & Documentation Services at CPRI, Shimla.
